George Lucas joined MichaelSilver in 2003. Out of college, George worked for a national CPA firm before going on to serve as the Controller of a national wholesale distributor of electrical supplies, CFO of a food manufacturing company, and CFO of a bottled water company. In 2002, George founded his own accounting firm and then merged his practice with MichaelSilver in 2003.
George’s industry experience includes real estate development, construction, food processing, wholesale distribution, and light manufacturing. This includes experience working with management and owners related to the acquisition and divestiture of several companies.
Since George has been with MichaelSilver, he has provided consulting and innovative solutions to clients as a trusted advisor and outsourced Controller/VP of Finance. George also provides “hands on” accounting and tax services for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
George is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
George’s outside interests include Chicago sports and playing golf.
