Senior Associate, Accounting and Assurance

The Senior Associate, Accounting and Assurance plays an integral role in our Accounting and Assurance Department by providing high-quality accounting, assurance and consulting services for clients within a supportive, team environment. The ideal candidate is a professional who loves accounting and is seeking a long-term future with the Firm. A CPA with at least three years of recent public accounting experience is preferred. We are looking for a fall 2018 hire.

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and execute audit, review and compilation engagements for our middle-market clients

  • Prepare accounting work papers, financial statements and tax-related schedules

  • Manage the assurance process

  • Conduct direct contact with client personal

  • Supervise staff and develop mentor/mentee relationships as required

Qualifications: 

  • Successful completion of CPA exam

  • 3 + years of recent public accounting experience

  • Strong general accounting proficiency

  • Basic tax preparation experience of corporate, partnership and individual tax returns

  • Technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS

  • Ability to research accounting issues

  • Experience with Caseware

  • Experience working with client accounting systems

  • Ability to budget efficiently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Flexibility to adapt to new situations

  • Detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated towards personal growth and development
