Harry Steindler, who heads up our Client Accounting Services Group, joined MichaelSilver as a Partner in October 2018. He focuses on providing tax and business advice and assurance services to closely held businesses and their owners, and nonprofit organizations and individuals.
Harry grew his career in client service and firm leadership during 25 years with a mid- sized firm. He then continued in those roles after a firm merger with a regional firm where he served as office managing partner for that firm’s Skokie office, and then as assurance managing partner for an international firm’s Rosemont office and finally, heading up the firm’s Chicagoland nonprofit assurance practice.
For most of his career, Harry has been actively involved in human resource functions including recruiting, mentoring, and leadership development and is continuing to have a role in those areas with MichaelSilver, serving on the Human Resources Committee, as a mentor and as the partner-in-charge of the Firm’s Client Accounting Services Group. Harry recently completed his role as coordinating partner for the Firm’s office move from Skokie to Deerfield.

How he approaches his work
“I enjoy getting to know my clients, understanding what’s important to them, personally and professionally. In the office, nothing makes me feel better than helping members of our team and, really everyone in the firm, succeed at the highest level possible, and finding some energizing ways to have fun while getting there.”
HOW HE SPENDS HIS TIME ELSEWHERE
“I live with my wife, Marcy, in Deerfield and enjoy spending time with our adult children and volunteering with local organizations. I bicycle, walk, enjoy reading and photography, and play softball and golf. The Steindlers cheer on the White Sox, Bears, Bulls, Northwestern Wildcats, Iowa Hawkeyes, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.”
